Smooth Sailing

Arrived in Apache Junction AZ safely from Las Cruses NM about 1:30pm local time. Car is unloaded and most of the stuff is put away. It is sunny and warm here this afternoon a welcome change from the weather elsewhere. Time to catch up with the local gossip.

Last Night on the Road for the Holidays

Mostly sunny day, except for 30 or so miles of Texas fog. Covered 620 miles today. An early day compared to the last two, but the time zone change helps too. An even easier day tomorrow from Las Cruses NM.

No Snow, Only Clear Skies

As the sun rose a clear day dawned, a welcome change from yesterday. From Tennessee, through Arkansas to Weatherford TX, another 700 miles of interstate bliss. One has to wonder if President Eisenhower ever imagined it could come to this. Oh well, it is what it is.
