July 2, 08

Our son called early and asked if we could join him on a tour of the Naval Academy and we said yes. Starting In August he will be teaching Mechanical Engineering at the Academy so this was a chance to see where he will be working for the next couple of years. The day was sunny and a little humid, as the east coast tends to be in the summer. After the walking tour our daughter in-law met us for a late lunch in a pub (Rams Head) in Annapolis before retuning to camp.

In the evening I rode the motorcycle to the Harley dealership in Laurel MD to join a ride to the DC Mall. Our Road Captain lead 17 of us to the Mall where we parked on Constitution Ave just east of 17th St. After a 20-30 minute visit to the WWII Memorial we rode back to a local hangout in Laurel MD for a late dinner and visit. All in all it was a very full day. I hope the pictures will help fill in the rest of the story.
